Free access to select Safari Books Online. Students and teachers may sign up for free online access with an Edmodo account. Books are exclusively for computers, technology, design, and programming. Ask to join the group Bronx High School of Science Safari Online.
The SPIE Digital Library is the most extensive resource available on optics and photonics, providing unprecedented access to more than 466,000 technical papers from SPIE Journals and Conference Proceedings and more than 310 eBooks from SPIE Press from 1962 to the present. More than 18,000 new technical papers and 25 eBooks are added annually. Ask Ms. Kim or Ms. Sweis for the username and password.
Lit2Go is a free online collection of short stories, novels, epic poems, informational texts and speeches in MP3 (audiobook) format. An abstract, citation, playing time, and word count are given for each of the passages. Many of the passages also have a related reading strategy identified. Each reading passage can also be downloaded as a PDF and printed for use as a read-along or as supplemental reading material for your classroom.

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. Running May thru August. SYNC will give away two complete audiobook downloads a week (30 titles) - pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes.
