Our primary goal is to teach students to think scientifically. The foundational courses are Elements of Engineering Design (9th grade), Regents (or Honors) Chemistry (9th or 10th grade), and Regents Physics or AP Physics 1 (11th grade). Students have the opportunity to explore their interests through the many advanced electives offered. Students are encouraged to explore their interests and may take any combination of electives that they choose.

Chemistry: Regents Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Post-AP Chemistry: Quantitative Analysis, Organic Chemistry
Physics: Regents Physics, AP Physics I, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Post-AP Physics: Modern Physics
Engineering: Elements of Engineering, Digital Engineering, Experimental Engineering

Students interested in doing independent research are offered a 4 year sequence of courses: Research Literacy, and Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Research Biology classes. Students may do research projects in university and hospital laboratories, and submit their papers to Regeneron Science Talent Search (formerly Intel) and other scientific contests.
