Donald Marron '50
Donald Marron is a private equity investor, financier and entrepreneur. He is the Chairman and Founder of Lightyear Capital. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PaineWebber for twenty years before its merger with UBS and following the merger, he served as Chairman of UBS America. Prior, he was the President and CEO of Mitchell Hutchins, which grew into the largest non-government source of economic data worldwide.
Mr. Marron is a former Director of the New York Stock Exchange, a Trustee of NYU, a Trustee of the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
He is a renowned modern art collector who serves as Trustee and President Emeritus of the Museum of Modern Art. Mr. Marron graduated from The City University of New York.
