Raymond King '82

Raymond King is an entrepreneur and founder of multiple companies including and Top Level Design. King’s first company was The Computer Workshop that he started while a student at Bronx Science. Together with a group of friends, he offered computing classes at Grand Central Terminal. He left college, to start Semaphore Inc. a company that sold accounting, billing and project management software to architecture and engineering firms. He grew the company to nearly 100 employees in four offices. His next venture was SnapNames, which specialized in “snapping up” expired domain names. With six years, SnapNames was generating gross sales of $49 million. King, then started,, a wiki Internet domain directory. Most recently, King founded Top Level Design, a domain name registry for .design, .ink and .wiki top level domains.
