Michael Kay '78

Michael Kay is a broadcaster, journalist and radio host who is best known as the play-by-play announcer for Yankees games on YES Network.
Kay began his career as a reporter for the New York Post, where he covered baseball as well as both college and professional basketball. Following his time at the Post, Kay worked at the Daily News and then as a broadcaster for Yankees games on WABC Radio.

Kay has been the voice of the Yankees on YES since 2002, and for his work there he has received eight Emmy Awards and 31 nominations. Since 2002 he has also been the host of The Michael Kay Show, a daily show on ESPN Radio.

A native of the Bronx, Kay graduated from Fordham University with a degree in Communications following his graduation from Bronx Science.
