Joseph Greenaway '74
After graduating from Bronx Science, Judge Greenaway earned his BA in History from Columbia and followed his passion for law to Harvard Law School.
Judge Greenaway started his law career at Kramer, Levin, Nessen, Kamin, and Frankel and had the opportunity to clerk for the late Honorable Vincent L. Broderick of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. This led the Honorable Greenaway to a position at the US Attorney’s office for the District of New Jersey where he became the Chief of the Narcotics Bureau.
In 1996, Judge Greenaway received his commission from President Clinton as the sixty-seventh jurist appointed to the federal bench in New Jersey.
Currently, Judge Greenaway serves as a jurist of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, a position appointed to him by President Obama in 2010.
