Jon Favreau '84

Jon Favreau is an American actor, screenwriter, film director and comedian. After graduating from Bronx Science, Favreau studied at Queens College before moving to Chicago and eventually Hollywood. In his early career, Favreau appeared in films like Folks! and Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, as well as Seinfeld. Favreau’s first attempt at screenwriting resulted in the indie hit Swingers. Favreau went on to feature in Deep Impact, Love & Sex and Something's Gotta Give before receiving his recurring role in Friends. Favreau began directing with the mafioso comedy Made and continued to direct a variety of blockbusters including: Elf, Zathura, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3 Cowboys & Aliens, Chef and The Jungle Book. He is currently filming expected hits like The Lion King, Avengers: Infinity War and Jungle Book 2 as well as a live action Star Wars television series.
