June Ellenoff O’Neill is a leading economist. She is on the faculty at Baruch College and at the Graduate Center at CUNY. She is the director of the Center for the Study of Business and Government. An expert on the wage gap, O’Neill is a noted author whose works explore why certain occupations are paid more and if gender drives that difference more than supply and demand. O’Neill served as the Director of the Congressional Budget Office, as director of the Office of Policy and Research at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, as a senior research associate at the Urban Institute, and as a senior economist with the president's Council of Economic Advisers. She received her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence and her Ph.D. from Columbia University.
