Senior Nayu Shimo Wins 2019 Kemper Human Rights Essay Contest

Congratulations to Senior Nayu Shimo for winning first place in the Kemper Human Rights Education Foundation essay contest.

Her essay The Battle Against White National Deep American Roots was selected by the organization's board of university professors and will be posted on their website. Along with a $1000 prize, the president of the board, Paul Cantor, presented her with an award and a short speech.

Nayu's win is the second in a row for Bronx Science with last year's first prize going to Benjamin Raab '19.
