Bronx Science Speech & Debate excels on the local circuit at the Regis I tournament

The Bronx Science Speech and Debate team excelled at the Regis I tournament held on September 28, 2019, and received a third-place sweepstakes award. Click on the headline for more information.

The Bronx Science Speech and Debate team excelled at the Regis I tournament held on September 28, 2019, and received a third-place sweepstakes award.

Emery John (’20) championed the Original Oratory category and earned a qualification to the New York State Forensic League State Championship. Steven Huang (’21) also placed third in Original Oratory.

In Varsity Oral Interpretation, Felicia Chen (’20) placed second and received a qualification to the New York State Forensic League State Championship, and Noelle Barile (’21) placed fourth in varsity oral interpretation.

In Duo Interpretation, the team of Elana Abrams (’21) and Enza Jonas-Giugni (’21) placed third.

In JV Extemporaneous Speaking Marina Shirky (’22) placed tenth, and Hana Rodriguez (’22) broke to finals in Novice Extemporaneous Speaking.
