If you did not make it to Bronx Science on Thursday, June 27th, 2019 for diploma pick up, then you will need to contact the Summer School Guidance Counselor, Ms. Denise Longano, by e-mail to make an appointment to pick up your diploma materials over the summer during summer school hours (8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Friday, June 28th, 2019 until Wednesday, August 7th, 2019) at Bronx Science in the Main Office Room 135.
The diploma is a legal document and CANNOT be mailed to you; you or your parents must pick it up in person following all instructions below.
You MUST e-mail Ms. Longano starting on Friday, June 28th, 2019 for an appointment time; she will get back to you with a confirmation e-mail. DO NOT stop by without first making an appointment with her. Her e-mail address is
Please wait until Friday, June 28th, 2019, before e-mailing her to schedule an appointment.
If you the graduating senior CANNOT make it to Bronx Science over the summer, only your legal parent/guardian may pick up your materials over the summer by making an appointment with Ms. Longano. They must bring two important documents with them in order to do so:
1) Their photo ID (it must match the parent/guardian name in PupilPath)
2) A letter, signed by the student, authorizing your parent/guardian to pick up your materials.
Below is a sample letter that you can use (both as a PDF file and as a MSWord file). Copy and paste the document into your MSWord or Pages program, add in the missing information in bold and brackets, print it out, sign it, and give it to your parents if they are going to come on your behalf to pick up your senior materials over the summer. Your diploma WILL NOT be released to your parents without this signed letter presented to Ms. Longano along with their photo ID. The sample letter notes that the graduated senior has reached the age of 18; if this does not apply and the graduated senior is only 17 at the time of diploma pick-up, simply delete this line in your letter.
