Bronx Science Speech and Debate Team Excelled at the Newark and Chaminade Invitationals

During the weekend of January 5, 2019, the Bronx Science Speech and Debate Team competed at the Newark Invitational, in Newark, New Jersey, and at the Chaminade Invitational in Mineola, New York. In Speech, congratulations to Sarah Lydon ('21) for finaling in Declamation, Celeste Abourjeili ('20) for finaling in Extemporaneous Speaking, and a big congratulations to Bailey Stephen ('21) who championed Declamation and qualified to states.

In Congressional Debate, congratulations to Amanda Caress ('20) for coming in 3rd. Further congratulations to our other Congressional finalists Artea Brahaj ('19), Kellen Knight ('21), Sadie Karp ('21), and Alexander Rosenbaum ('20).

In Varsity Policy congratulations to Kurt Tio ('20) and Eugene Toth ('20) for reaching semifinals in Varsity.  Eugene got 3rd speaker.  In Novice Policy, congratulations to Delara Moussavi ('22) and Aissata Barry ('22) for breaking to octofinals. Caroline Chui ('22) got 4th speaker, Megan Xing ('22) got 11th speaker, and Jennifer Lee ('22) got 16th speaker.
