The Bronx Science Speech and Debate Team had an Incredible Weekend at the Scarsdale Invitational and Interleague Tournament at St. Francis Prep

During the weekend of November 10. 2018, the Bronx Science Speech and Debate Team was triumphant at the Scarsdale Invitational and Interleague Tournament at St. Francis Prep, in New York. Click the headline to read about the team's accomplishments at the tournaments.

In Public Forum, congratulations to Andrew Kamen ('19) and Zayaan Shariff ('19) for reaching quarterfinals and earning a bid to the Silver TOC. They are now fully qualified to the Silver TOC. Further congratulations to Ben Silver ('20) and Ben Oestericher ('20) for breaking to octafinals, and Alex Ellerstein ('19) and Eli Zerof ('19) for making it to runoffs.

In Lincoln Douglas, congratulations to Annie Wang ('20) for making it to dubs.

Novice Public Forum also had an amazing weekend. William Wang ('22) and Skye Lam ('22) and Kalina Stoyanova ('22) and Emelia Nacos ('22) both went undefeated, and Emelia Pelegano-Titmuss ('22) and Alex Oh ('22) came in 7th, going 4-2. Dori Held ('22) and Madeline Hatola ('22) went 4-2. All four teams ended with a winning record.

In Congressional Debate, major congratulations to Nathan Felmus ('19) for placing 3rd and to Eshaan Modi for placing 6th. Further congratulations to Jonathan Bar-On ('20), Mary Tyrrell ('19), and Danna Burshtine ('19) for being finalists in Congress. Special congratulations to Sam Stille ('22) for his first career break to finals.

In Speech, congratulations to Bailey Stephen ('22) for coming in 3rd in Declamation at her first ever tournament.  Congratulations to Joseph Moser ('19) and Felicia Chen for breaking to finals in Dramatic Interpretation.
